Lorna Ritter - Clothing and accessories with a big splash of color!

 

Local artist Lorna Ritter has been fascinated with fabrics and color since the age of 12, when she was known to lock  herself  away in the bedroom with her mother's Singer sewing machine. With pattern and paints in hand and an enduring passion to create, she discovered her unique talent for hand-painted designs and embarked on a journey experimenting with paints and cotton fabrics. The process led her to develop her own technique to capture the unique colors of her designs. She began sharing her creations with family and friends and eventually took her wares to various arts and craft festivals throughout California to share with a larger audience.

Since then she has sewn and painted countless dresses, vests, overalls, pillows and handbags for people all over the world.  Her collection has more recently expanded into an intricate beaded jewelry line that compliments her clothing. Largely inspired by the beauty and ambiance of Napa, Lorna says she has the privilege of bringing joy, beauty and a little bit of fun to those wearing her whimsical collection.
